The Senior Accountant will oversee general accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial data. Key Responsibilities:
- General Ledger Management:
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, and adjustments.
- Month-End and Year-End Close Processes:
- Perform month-end close procedures, including reconciliations and reporting.
- Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules in accordance with GAAP/IFRS.
- Financial Reporting:
- Generate timely and accurate financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Review and approve AP/AR transactions, ensuring proper coding and compliance.
- Monitor cash flow and manage collections and payments.
- Compliance and Auditing:
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
- Support external and internal audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Assist in the development and documentation of accounting policies and procedures.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with other departments to provide financial insights and support.
- Mentor and guide junior accounting staff as needed
