Reporting to Quality Control Manager

Direct subordinates:  1 (Defect & Calibration assessor)

Job Purpose

Data mining to service the statistical controls of significant product and process characteristics.

Data mining to service the defect reduction overall strategy plan

Process ownership of the calibration process

Key Performance Areas

1. Develop and improve daily, weekly, monthly analytical reports to identify statistically out of control product and process characteristics.
2. SAP data mining for scrap and claims analyses.
3. Member of six sigma/ CI projects for company's Manufacturing.
4. Member of Measurement System Analysis studies to support interpretation of statistical information.
5. Effective usage of systems to identify calibration needs for all measuring equipment that is used to measure direct/ indirect product quality

Data Mining (50%):

Writing of macros to stage charts for monitoring of defects/ process & product indicators from excel/ SAP/ Shopware & Adroit databases.  Utilization of statistical techniques to determine out of control processes

Continual Improvement (25%)

Support function for six sigma projects for data analysis needs.

Support function for all Measurement System Analysis to identify improvement opportunities.

Calibration (25%):

Ownership of calibration process. Effective utilization of Shopware to identify when gauges are due for service.

Management of service records to ensure integrity and traceability of information.

Minimum Qualifications:

Technical National Higher Diploma

Six Sigma (yellow belt)

Advantageous:  

Btech or equivalent

Six sigma (green belt)

Minimum Experience:

2 ~ 3 years in a Quality/ Process/ Statistical  environment 

Advantageous:  3 ~ 5 years in a Quality/ Process/ Statistical  environment 

Technical Competencies:

• MSA’s, SPC, High statistical understanding
• Data fluent, be able to extract and analyse data using visualization software
• Computer literacy, (expert in excel, minitab) and data visualization software). Experience with SAP, Power BI and Shopware.
• Understanding of Calibration processes
