On joining the company there was very limited Environmental and Quality measures and systems in place.  During his first two years he managed to identify the top risk factors facing the mine and put a strategy into place in order to ensure the continuity and further the Environmental impact was secure and intact.

Devised a cost saving strategy to maintain the open cast pits post mining thereby saving the company $290 million by implementation of a “Tailing Facility” as part of the rehabilitation strategy.

Responsible for the implementation, budget, staffing and monitoring of Environmental Management Systems for Open Pit Mines, Underground Mine and Metallurgical Process plants.

Updated the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment studies for the Kamoto Copper Company Phase 4 project valued at $749 million.

Established the Hazardous waste landfill site for Kamoto Copper Company at a cost of $750 000.

Achieved No Level A Environmental Incidents for 3 continuous years

Established EMS management system for Kamoto Copper Company based on ISO 14001 requirements.
